I wasn't really excited about the CIP Day. The day before CIP, I had dance in Edgefield Secondary School. I was very tired after the practice. On every Friday, I would go to my grandmother's house. Therefore, after school I had to go to my grandmother's house. I was really very tired. As my grandmother's house is at Bukit Batok, I had to wake up very early in order to be punctual for school on Saturday, CIP Day!
So it was really very tiring for me. The best part is that on Saturday I had to collect newspaper, magazine and old clothes from a block which was assigned to my group. I managed to wake up on time and be early to school. When I reached the block assigned to us, I was very excited.
Each group was given five rafia strings. We then started to collect the necessary items. We needed team work while collecting the newspaper, magazines and old clothes. We had to work in pairs to collect all the recycling materials. In my group each pair consists of a girl and boy. Every time we collect something, the boys in our group, Ric and Edwin would volunteer to carry them.
I really had fun working with my group members. Our relationship as friends has grown deeper. Our group leader, Kate was very nice to my group members. I liked it and feel that it was a very good experience. I look forward to more of such activities with my classmates.
