I wasn't really excited about the CIP Day. The day before CIP, I had dance in Edgefield Secondary School. I was very tired after the practice. On every Friday, I would go to my grandmother's house. Therefore, after school I had to go to my grandmother's house. I was really very tired. As my grandmother's house is at Bukit Batok, I had to wake up very early in order to be punctual for school on Saturday, CIP Day!
So it was really very tiring for me. The best part is that on Saturday I had to collect newspaper, magazine and old clothes from a block which was assigned to my group. I managed to wake up on time and be early to school. When I reached the block assigned to us, I was very excited.
Each group was given five rafia strings. We then started to collect the necessary items. We needed team work while collecting the newspaper, magazines and old clothes. We had to work in pairs to collect all the recycling materials. In my group each pair consists of a girl and boy. Every time we collect something, the boys in our group, Ric and Edwin would volunteer to carry them.
I really had fun working with my group members. Our relationship as friends has grown deeper. Our group leader, Kate was very nice to my group members. I liked it and feel that it was a very good experience. I look forward to more of such activities with my classmates.

My CA1 and SA1 Results
I did not really do well for my CA1 examination. Yes! It was my first written examination I ever did in Riverside Secondary School. However i did not think that it was my best. I got lowest for most of my subjects and knew that it is not my best. I was quite upset. I am confident that with more effort I can certainly give my best and do better.
As I came to Riverside Secondary School through Direct School Admission, It is necessary that I should work very hard to better attain better results than my classmates. Now I have begun to work hard. Really hard.I also stopped talking a lot during lessons. I tried my best to stay focus for my physics lesson for more than one and half hour. And it worked. As for my maths I just made sure that I understood what the teacher was teaching me. For my geography I did not understand anything I just gave up on it. As for my history, I am difficulty with SBQ questions. No matter how much I write, I can hardly score more than one mark. However I still make sure I knew my other topics well. I believe that my English, Literature and Tamil is fine.
When my SA1 results were out. I was quite happy with most of my Results excluding geography. I think I have made great improvements for my maths and I hope to do better. My other subjects are better too. Now I am working hard for my CA2.

My June Holidays
During the first two weeks of my holiday's, I was staying in my grandmother's house. I was planning to rest for three days before starting on my June holiday assignments. However it did not happen. I was too lazy to start on my homework. I was busy spending time with my family members. We mostly spent our time on shopping for clothes and accessories. In the first week of the holidays, I watched the movie, Kungfu Panda 2 with my sister.
On the second week, most of my Malaysian cousins and aunties came over to Singapore to visit us. My sister and I brought them out for shopping. My grandmother also brought them to visit some of my other cousins who live in Singapore. I had great fun sharing with them some of my experiences. As for my homework, I only touched on my maths portfolio.
On the third week, I went to Malaysia with my cousins. I went shopping with my aunty and my little cousin sister. I also went prawning with my uncle and my two cousin brothers at one of the ponds in Malaysia. I had a lot of fun swimming with my cousins. We played all kinds of interesting games in the water. It was then that I realised that being independant is not easy as I couldn't share.most of my feelings with my cousins. Therefore I missed my family members and friends.
It was during the last week that I started doing my homework. I was quite worried that I will not finish my homework. However with the help of my friend, Thirosha, I managed to finish my work fast. I also went picnic with my cousins and friends at Waterfront. I had enjoyed climbing the ropes even though I had some difficulties in the beginning. I also met some of my primary school friends there.
Knowing that school will be starting soon, I started preparing by arranging my books in order and ensuring that i have sufficient stationery to use. This is how I spent my June holidays.
